She was detained in early August after performing songs by the Ukrainian band Okean Elzy at a street concert, which angered the Lukashists and became the reason for the detention. She was twice sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest, and then re-arrested in a criminal case under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (‘active participation in group actions that grossly violate the public order’).
She participated in numerous international music competitions, including competitions in Ukraine. After the 2020 presidential election, she spoke out against the violence that took place on the streets and assisted in actions of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners.
She also went to a protest against the war in Ukraine located in Minsk, collected humanitarian aid and sang Ukrainian songs at her concert to support the courageous Ukrainian people.
