Nidia Lorena Barbosa Castillo, 67, is a lawyer, activist, human rights defender, and member of the Civic Alliance for Justice and Democracy (ACJD).
She was arrested on November 6, 2021, one day before the presidential elections. “Subjected to a criminal process, full of vices and irregularities for having published a prayer called ‘for a better Nicaragua,’ on social networks.”

She was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the alleged crimes of conspiracy and publication of false news.
Nidia Barbosa suffers from chronic diseases, heart failure, bradycardia and arthritis, diseases that require permanent specialized care.
Her health has deteriorated considerably, added to the cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment she receives from the prison authorities of Granada.

Hermann Leopoldo Tertsch del Valle-Lersundi is a Spanish journalist, writer and politician, current MEP for the Vox political formation since June 2019 and member of the Editorial Board of the newspaper La Gaceta de la Iberosfera.

He was appointed fifth vice president of the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) in the European Parliament. He joined the Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET), as well as the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Commission (D-MX) and in the Delegation of the European Parliament in the European-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT), exercising one of the vice-presidencies of the table of this last body.
