Sissi Abascal is part of the Ladies in White Movement, her days were spent between arrests and police operations due to her constant demands on the Cuban regime.
She attended the popular protest the 11th of July, 2021, because of that she was sent to prison with a six-year sentence for the alleged crimes of “attack”, “disrespect” and “public disorder”.
Relatives presented the appeal of the case and affirm that they will continue the legal procedures until
they exhaust all resources, although they do not have much hope that the authorities will modify the sentence.
